I've Given Up Trying To Show This Home, When Will The Listing Agent Give Up Too?

I've made several attempt to show a home, five to be exact and I'm sick of trying.  My last call yesterday to the listing agent basically told her that we will go and look at the house anytime the seller has available. Did I mention there is no lock box?  It has been over 24 hours and I still haven't received a call back yet.

When is enough... ENOUGH?

Sounds like that seller isn't interested in selling!

Debbie-

It's SO frustrating when something like that happens.  I tried all afternoon to get in touch with someone/anyone to show a VACANT house last night.  With this particular company, the office is not open on weekends (Go figure!) and, after multiple calls to the listing agent, I didn't hear anything back from him either.  His message basically says he works Monday through Friday 7-7p.m. and weekends "by appt. only."  That's great.  I'm glad he has his business hours fixed and is in control of his time.  But his time is also best served by returning phone calls with showing instructions for VACANT listings.  Of course, the Showing Time instructions say call agent; combo lockbox.  I would never think of just walking into a listing with an electronic lockbox even if it's vacant due to alarm, etc. when the instructions are to call first (unless it specifically says "go ahead and show."  But--come on--  vacant, combo and NO CODE anywhere that is easy to get to.  If the LA returned phone calls or if the office was open on weekends, there would have been no problem.  But--ugh!

All I can say is LAs that do this are doing a HUGE dis-service to their Sellers.

Jason -  I think that there is some truth to that comment.

Lisa - I agree, we all need a day off but someone needs to be available for showing instructions.  I'm always surprised when an agent tells me they don't work weekends.  I show more property on Saturday and Sunday than the other 5 combined.
