The Family WatchDog - New Offender Website

barking dog

No one wants to talk about it, but I'm often asked by Mr. & Mrs. Buyer about the people that live in any given neighborhood and if there are any registered offenders living in that neighborhood.  I have always directed these inquires to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Website.  Another website was brought to my attention yesterday, Family WatchDog and from what I've been told is was developed by John Walsh of America's Most Wanted.

When you visit this site you can enter your address and a map will pop up with your house as a small icon of a house. There will be red, blue and green dots surrounding your entire neighborhood. When you click on these dots a picture of a criminal will appear with his or her home address and the description of the crime he or she has committed.

Being the source of the source is an important asset in real estate.  Buyers and Sellers want to work with knowledgeable professionals who can help them get the answers they need.

I think that is a great site, our state site gives the information too.  I think those sites are great, it takes that off our shoulders.

Eugene:    We can never have enough resources, I tried it out... it's pretty cool.

Audrey:  Our state site is good too, I like to refer both... you can never give buyers enough information.
