I'm always looking for new 'Drops' of Active Rain Brilliance, I found that last month when I stopped into Kristin Moran's Hot San Antonio Blog... I immediately liked what I saw and subscribed on the spot. For that, I'm know next in line for the new AR tag two chain blog...
I love my real estate profession...
I'm a house junkie and my career fuels my addiction... I've driven hundreds of miles just to look at a house. The dirt, the details and finishes are my life. One of the most rewarding moments I've had is when we sold our "flip" house in Sanford - the buyers wrote the offer before we were even close to being done. When they walked in after it was complete the wife started crying, she told me that she loved it and it was better than she imagined it would be. Making someone else happy is my business!
I have a great business partner... My husband. We compliment each other and work our strengths. I love social media, marketing and showing property & I get to focus my time and energy there... Plus I always have someone to bounce my ideas off of, that's priceless.
There is never a dull moment... I'm the first one to admit it, I have a short attention span. Each day is a new adventure and you never know what's going to happen or who is going to call. Even the things that make me crazy (seems like short sales lately) make my real estate profession a new challenge every day!
What I love the most:
I meet amazing people who become 'real' friends beyond the transaction... We've been on a Cruise with our real estate friends, to golf tournaments, birthday parties, baby showers, dinners and this Friday will be our first wedding... Yes, a Halloween wedding... they're British - cut them some slack!
P.S. - I've met some wonderful REALTORS too!
I'm tagging and passing it on to these "drops" of brilliance!
Look out... You might be next?

Real Estate can be a real fun business especially when the market is hot. If I was not a Realtor I would have been a builder because I just like homes:)
Yeah DEBBIE! I loved it! SO SWEET! Well worth the wait (AND you beat my sister to it). You are so right, each day IS a new adventure. KM
Debbie, I love houses too. I could just go and soak them all up. Another thing I love is home decor magazines like veranda and elle decor. I just check out every detail. My husband and I have done a lot of remodeling to our home because of both the aforementioned items. Like Bill, if I did not sell real estate I would love to design, decorate or build homes.
I love Vickie McCartney and just met Carolyn, she seems like a doll - I can't wait to know her better. You are not so bad yourself :)
Making someone else happy is my business! words to live by!
Bill - I spent 12 years as a project manager for a General Contractor... I love building!
Very cool post. I love reading these little factoids about other realtors. I think a short attention span is a characteristic of our profession because Im right there with you.
Debbie~ Thanks so much for "tagging" me , LOL! Let me see what I can do. ...
You are so right! Isn't it wonderful to be able to say you LOVE your job! Vickie
Thanks for sharing your friends with us!
Debbie, What great reasons to love your work! I would love to be able to work with my husband, though in this market I think I'll have him keep the steady paycheck for awhile!
Debbie, I loved your post, I am not so sure I could work with my other half in the same business. We are both type A's. I love your comment about "short attention span" I think it is an occupational requirement:))
Kristin, Every day is an adventure in real estate! Right now it is quite a roller coaster and perhaps a bit too much of an adventure for some! My husband and I are both in real estate full-time.
I am still in draft mode (LOL). I had to come back over here because I wanted to remind myself that this task is not impossible an must be done. :-)
