I love HGTV, I'd watch 24/7 if I could. One of my favorite Dream Homes was the house in St. Mary's Georgia - pictured above. I'm such an home enthusiast that I had my husband drive me up to look at the house. It was gorgeous - I didn't want to leave!

i was very surprised at 2009s house. just not as impressive as in the past an, IMO, not fitting with the neighborhood.
Hi Debbie, I USED TO BE an Hgtv Junkie... then I got started on ActiveRain. LOL I haven't taken the tour yet, but I entered every year. I can't even imagine what I would do if I really won! ? ! Thanks for the heads up- I might have missed it this year!
Debbie, I have to admit I would be one of the three that didn't know about this house. I will have to put a reminder on my outlook.
These houses are so huge and monsterous, dont seem they fit in the area that they are built. Owning a house so big is not as fun as it looks, lots of money to upkeep.

I check the house out, it has ceilings and walls the same color. We do ceiling with a tinted down color of the walls. I like it with the same color. I been tired of whites for a while.

I enjoy looking at these homes but could not afford to win. Can you imagine the taxes. Most people that win cannot keep the house as they cannot afford the taxes and upkeep
Debbie, I am always so excited about the HGTV Dream home. The St Mary's home was my favorite too. I think the new one for this year is in California? I will have to go and check it out. I love all the virtual tours, I always study every little detail. Thanks for the link.

I caution anyone who buys in a neighborhood with an HGTV home do your research. We have property in some of the past communities and I am shocked what HGTV allows to go on.
wow, that is a cool house! now there are only 2 people that havent heard about it - i was one since i dont have TV! you single handedly informed 33% of the remaining ignoramouses! =0)
